About This Format

QR (Quick Response) codes are two-dimensional matrix symbologies invented in 1994. Unlike traditional one-dimensional linear barcodes that store data only horizontally, QR codes encode information both horizontally and vertically, allowing significantly higher data density and robust Reed-Solomon error correction.

Validation & Technical Constraints

  • Maximum data capacity is monitored against ISO/IEC 18004 standards.
  • URLs automatically normalize to https:// if a protocol is missing.
  • Special characters in Wi-Fi and vCard payloads are automatically escaped to prevent syntax breakage on mobile readers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Never. These are direct, static QR codes. Your destination or text is stored right inside the matrix itself. Because there is no intermediary redirect service or third-party server involved, the code will remain functional indefinitely.

Yes. All generated SVG and PNG images are 100% royalty-free and can be used on restaurant menus, business cards, billboards, packaging, and commercial merchandise without restrictions.

Download SVG if you plan to print the QR code on signs, packaging, or flyers. Vector SVG scales to any size without blurriness or pixelation. Download PNG if you are placing the image on a website, email newsletter, or digital slide.
