Website URL Generator
Preview ↓Encode a direct web address into a static, scannable QR code.
Direct link. Protocol “https://” added automatically if omitted.
SVG is recommended for physical printing. PNG is ready for digital usage.
Generated entirely in your browser. Static QR codes encode destinations directly into the matrix and never route through an intermediary redirect service or expire.
How to Use
- Type or paste your destination web address (e.g., https://example.com).
- If you enter a domain without a protocol like 'example.com', 'https://' will be added automatically.
- Check the live preview to verify the generated symbol.
- Click 'Download SVG' for sharp print materials or 'Download PNG' for digital display.
About This Format
A URL QR Code stores a standard Web URI directly inside its matrix modules. Modern smartphone cameras (iOS Camera and Android Google Lens) automatically recognize the http/https protocol and present a safe preview banner allowing the user to open the page in their default browser.
Validation & Technical Constraints
- Accepts valid HTTP and HTTPS web addresses.
- Automatically normalizes bare domain names to HTTPS.
- Zero tracking: The destination URL is encoded directly into the code without intermediary redirects.
- Never fetches or transmits your entered URL across the network.
Examples

Frequently Asked Questions
No. Many services encode their own redirect URL (e.g., redirect.service.com/xyz) to track users and demand paid subscriptions to keep links alive. Our generator encodes your real URL directly into the code. It never redirects through us and never expires.
No. Direct static QR codes cannot be edited after printing because the destination characters are etched directly into the symbol pattern. If you need dynamic destination flexibility, we recommend configuring a URL alias on your own domain (e.g. yoursite.com/menu) so you retain total control. Read our detailed guide on Static vs. Dynamic QR Codes (/learn/static-vs-dynamic-qr-code) for architectural trade-offs.
For most print applications, Level M (15% error correction) offers the ideal balance between small symbol size (fewer modules) and damage resistance. If placing a logo in the center, choose Level H. Read our QR Code Error Correction Guide (/learn/qr-code-error-correction) for technical details.
